Chris' response is absolutley incorrect, ignore it.

Differences- pressure (which gives the appearence of weightlessness)
- more stable temperature (ever notice how long it takes a pool to warm up on a hot day, or how long it takes to cool off on a cold day?)
- available oxygen (limited in places, especially places with high algal load, look up dead zones)
- availability of nutrients (same as oxygen)
- available light (at deep depths there can be no light)

It's easier to move in the water, because the water helps support you, enabling things like jellyfish. It's harder to breed underwater though, because most of the male seed will just drift away and do nothing. Land mating is more efficient.

land is affected by gravity water is not
I dont know what long dong has been dreaming about but pressure does not cause weightlessness displacement does.

pressure actually makes you less buoyant since the oxygen in the body compress which lowers the displacement

You need to do some hard thinking here....your question is foolish because you haven't even considered the different media, temperature, winds, currents....do your own homework.
