selective banning.... I always thought it was f'd up.
I can not display my American flag at my desk for fear of offending some rag head, but they can burn my flag in town square and I'm supposed to sit there and not be offended. F THAT!!!

It is sick from the start! And don't give me this business about it being protected under the constitution! Some things are just understood (like marriage)! You can believe that the if the Founding Fathers (Framers of the Constitution) would have thought for a minute that they would need to DEFINE simple things that on their face are understood they would have! If you want to speak on "Freedom of religion!" You can bet that they were not even thinking about Buddhistism, Islam, or even Hinduism! Abhorrent and immoral life styles were not even a consideration in the framing of the Constitution. That MESS didn't come out of the closet (where it should have stayed) until the late 1970's.

I would tend to say that if people put up a display on their property, such as a manger scene, then you should let them be. But, when you have to block off streets and divert traffic, it should be more of a consensus thing. If 90% of the people in that area are opposed to whatever the parade is for, then I don't think it should be protected. They can find some other way of displaying what they stand for.

I'm conservative and I don't like those sort of parades or protest rallys. I think people should be able to celebrate Christmas as Christmas.
They fined some guy in Scottsdale for having too big a Christmas display in his own yard, but they let illegals have protest rallies in our streets and they are quite frightening to drive by if you have to drive to go to work, like most of us. I don't want tons of people near the road screaming at me!

The Constitution already protects peaceful assemblies and also states a separation of church and state.
I don't think public beastality should be permitted though and any non-government organization is allowed to display a Christmas scene.

Well...the manger scenes don't bother me.
But by all means, don't stop the parades. We have a Gay Pride parade every year here in Atlanta, and it's a HOOT! Them lesbos and queers are an absolute rip...you'll be laughing your a.ss off for three days.

All liberals don't believe in every liberal issue, I think that this 2 party system is what's wrong with America today, how come we can't just have one party that makes all of the right decisions? Anyhow, I find homosexuality revolting and sick. I do not feel that it should be allowed to be displayed in public.

No problems with manger scenes - unless government funds go to display them or they are displayed on government property. Once a government entity provides for one religion, it has to provide for all of them. Right next to your manger scene, there would have to be a menorah, a crescent, an the horn of satan doing whatever he does in december. That's freedom, dude! We have a separation of church and state. You want to display a manger in your house, go for it. you want to put a bloody murdered disfigured guy on a cross in your front lawn, go right ahead. If homos want to hold hands and kiss that's their god given right that our founding fathers fought and died for.

I sorta lean with the conservatives on this one. I mean we wouldn't tolerate the same lewd behavior from a bunch of cavorting heterosexuals...so why do we have to put up with from a bunch of prancing homosexuals. It's inappropriate from any sexual orientation. Homosexuals need to learn to behave in public just like the rest of us.
