Thats why I don't play sports video games there really complicated to play, X_X rpg games are the best

In the begining, there was just the one button (atari). People wanted more options.

Coleco vision improved on the concept, with a numeric keypad with an overlay. More options, but since the graphics were still crap, nobody bought it.

Finally, with the beginning of the current generation of VG (Sega, Super NES, etc.) the multi button controller was developed. Replacing the joystick with the directionals made combination commands more reliable, and in conjuction with the multiple buttons, made complete playbooks possible.

If you want a single button, just buy a used atari on e-bay. You should be able to find a copy of Madden 78 somewhere.

they make games and you play them, when you can make a game you just do it to your way.
