I'm seeing a common trend that rednecks don't really like to be around people much.

What kind of people are you talking about?
If you are ever stranded or have car trouble or need a friend, a redneck is the most likely person to help you. If you are a deserving person, a redneck will give you the shirt off his back.
Rednecks are people who like to live their own lives without interference from city slickers, tourists,snoopy strangers, or big government.
Rednecks come from all classes of people. Some are rich;some are not. Some are well-educated;some are not.
Rednecks love their wives, their kids, their country, and their God. There is a lot to be learned from rednecks.

Simple answer, Go to any small town in America and walk down the street and say hello to everybody you walk past. Almost all will say hello back. Try that in most major urban areas and you'd be lucky to have half the people say hello. Actually most rural people (the ones I believe you assume are rednecks) are much friendlier than most of my friends from the city

We have moved from the city to a small town in the country. needless to say everyone we know here are pretty much red and they are the friendliest people you would ever want to meet.

Not anti social. They just like to only hang out with other people like them. It is cool though. We all stay in our little cliques most of the time.

They don't like to be around any non-rednecks. They stick to their own kind. That way they can be uncivilized, bad mannered, and low class without being insulted by the "normal" people. :-)
