Choose pastel colored dresses that just fit you right, something that flows really well. The makeup should be light and natural that enhances your beauty and make you look fresh. Your shoes should be comfortable but still matches your dress. Don't overlode on jewelry. Something simple like earrings and a necklace, maybe even a bracelet would be fine. Your hair depends on how you look in your dress. Either up and stylish, or down in long curls.

I attended an wedding in Tortula in the Spring and I wore a floral skirt and wedge sandals with a wrap top. Most of the other women there had colorful dresses or skirts and tops on and none of the guests wore anything overly much formal.

It depends on the island, and where on the island. If you were at Sandal's in Jamaica, you wouldn't have to wear anything--just your birthday suit. Just wear a dress or a skirt and blouse if it's formal, or your bathingsuit. Is this a beach wedding or a church wedding? If a church wedding, you'd better get dressed up properly, shoes and all, no sandals.

Something that is casual but elegant. I suggest muted colors like taupe, pale peach, sky blue and beige. Sandals (flats) would be appropriate if it is in the sand. I would also seek out some nice jewelery with shells. Muted light make up too. A nice hat that matches the dress would be a final elegant touch.

It might depend on which island?

My wife and I were married in Jamaica, and our guests wore colorful and/or flowery motifs... mostly aqua and pink. It was very pretty. My sister was married in Hawaii... the guests wore blues and aqua, and some hints of pink. My wife's best friend was married at Martha's Vineyards, and the guests wore lots of flowers, and many bright colors.
