My best friend and I go shopping together alot, and she always wants to go to TJ Maxx or Marshalls. Housewares and purses are fine, but am I the only one that think it takes too much time to look through all those clothes?

I think that it's worth it, but I didn't like those stores when I was younger, it was just too hard to find things.

Now that I'm a mom of two, I care more about my budget than time. I can leave the kids with my husband and spend all day if I wanted to trying to find nice clothes. I would rather spend the money on my kids than on myself.

Where do you shop that you don't have to look through all those clothes? My TJ Maxx is as organized and well stocked as any other store that I go to.

Actually, it is like a buffet for me. Most regular dept stores are so limited in their offerings. It helps that I have colors, textures and prints narrowed down so basically all I have to do is look at the fabric and if it's my type I yank it outwards to check it out. I don't wear floral, dots, stripes and many fabrics turn me off so shopping is kind of "easy".

Those stores are great if you're looking for a bargain, as is Ross; but I can understand how you feel....more structured stores that are better organized are just as fun. Maybe you should alternate who chooses the store so that way you can show her better organized stores also have great deals. My new favorite is Kohls and Jc Penneys.

You're not the only one. As a matter of fact, my sister is similar to you. You just sound like you have a simpler sense of style. Not to say that you don't care, you just don't feel like it takes "all that."

Doesn't seem any different than any other store to me. Tell her to try Kohls they have great sales.
