Gas prices are continuing to go down because they have fixed the problem with the Alaska pipe line which should be a 100 percent on line by the end of October. The gas companys are getting ready to switch to winter fuel which is cheaper than the summer grade. Also supply and demand, summer is over people are not taking long family driving vacations in there RV's. Alaska pipeline= Supply is Up. Summer is over= Demand is down. Thank your local state governments for the gas taxes, and I feel sorry for you if you live in Cali.

While It's certainly possible for gas prices to go back down (I remember when it was $0.99!) I don't see where you're getting the idea that they /should/ get down to $1.99. Furthermore, what's your question?

Ninety-nine cents is low. Anything over $1.50 is high.

Yeah its election year politics. We are thrilled that its come down some. We should still be angry that it isn't back where it was when Bush took over.
