I love both shows the same, but I wouldn't call Family Guy a classic yet. The Simpsons Season 18 and still going strong now thats a CLASSIC probably a record also.

Simpson's. Family Guy just isn't that funny. And the Simpson's are just more like real people, dead beat dad, lazy stay at home mother who thinks she knows everything, hell raising son, smart daughter that will never be able to leave her small town, a baby who always seems to get in the way, screwed up neighbors you get the point.

The Simpsons. It was groundbreaking, is now mainstream & continues to be very well written after many years on the air. As with athletes, many have potential but true greatness is something only attained over time.
