The AIDS virus is now mutating and evolving at a rate in which scientists can't keep up with, imagine what could have been with we had started studying it and taking it seriously in the '80s...

No. My favorite leftist theory is that the CIA; under the direction of the Republicans/conservatives of course, developed the AIDS/HIV virus. The virus was genetically designed to infect and kill only black people. Their goal was to introduce it into the Africa population & not the US population to disguise its origins. Thus it would eventually spread to the USA and ...well you can figure out the rest.

Seriously, is there anyone out there that thinks that even the CIA would stoop to something so low?

I've never heard this theory.

The fact is the gay population is spreading this disease in America. 2-10% of the male population (homosexuals) aprise just shy of one half of the new AIDS cases every year (accoriding to the CDC).

Educating the male homosexual to practice safer sex or teaching abstinance, in general, would do a lot to curb this problem in America. AIDS is primarily spread through unsafe promiscuous sex, which is taught mainstream. But the CDC stats show there must be some disconnect in the gay community.

Imcadwel had the RIGHT answer...The feds blew it years ago, when they thought it just concerned gays, and that, therefore, didn't concern them! Ronald Ray-gun made a terrible mistake with the lack of funding for AIDS research, and that is having consequences now! Note: And I can remember when they DID NOT HAVE A CLUE as to what caused aids.
They didn't even know it was a virus.
They were looking at stuff like the gay male habit of huffing butyl nitrate (locker room) to enhance orgasm.
Then it was the Haitians.
I did Haitian migration interdiction with USCG in 80's.
And you better believe we got tested for aids when we got back in port.
Then I heard prevalence of HIV positive prevalent in prison and the guys were bringing aids home to their WHATEVERS.
And the authorities in South Africa are blind to scientific fact.
As far as they are concerned VOODOO is an effective treatment.
And condom use?
Promote it in Africa?

The last time I checked, AIDS was spread through contact with bodily fluids - sexual or otherwise, but primarily through homosexual contact. Abstinence and education are key to defeating this disease. How is that possible when here in the USA and elsewhere in the world our children's public school health text books advocate homosexual contact? Since when is it biologically correct to say the anus is appropriate for sexual penetration? The governments of those countries most affected need to step up to the plate and get more actively involved in irradication of the disease in their own countries. And the USA needs step up to the plate, put its money where its mouth is and stop teaching its children that homosexual contact is normal. It's an invitation to AIDS.

Well, not exactly.

What I do know for a fact is that U.S. govt aid to Africa for anti-HIV programs is predicated on teaching abstinence instead of condom use. This is also the official position of the Catholic Church.

This ignorant policy, as practiced by Washington and the Vatican, has probably resulted in the deaths of millions in Africa.

i dont know too much about lefties ... but i do know if you dig around alittle theres alot of evidence that points to AIDS being manmade ... i think it was some former lab in maryland supposedly working with japanese scientists on ethnic-specific bio-weapons ... anyway, there has been alot of proof and documentation linking vaccination programs with the original cases of aids ... especially in africa ... there was even a huge report put together detailing the connection of vaccination programs in africa and aids and it was published and talked about widely in europe .... but for some reason they didnt want to talk about it in the US ... somthing to look into when ur bored anyway ...
