Ask him. Drop subtle hints. Flirt with him & if he acts like he doesn't like it tell him you were just kidding & act shocked that he took you seriously.

Well, the only way to TRUELY find out is to ask him. Or if you can't do that, you can always have someone do it for you in a casual conversation. but it'll be better to ask him.
