There is an increase in male hormones called androgens and a drop in oestrogen/progesterone just before your period is due. This can increase libido and make you feel more horny. HTH.

I just read an article on this actually and there is no evidence between menstruation and a heightened sexual desire. It may be the fact that we're at a higher chance of becoming pregnant and its our natural way of reproducing...?

Because your muscles are contracting to rid yourself of the lining in your uterus - which stimulates bloodflow to that region - which is what happens when you are aroused.
It's poor planning on mother nature's part though. Because I also feel horny, bloated and cranky.

I think coz you feel that you can't really do it during the time that you have your period so you want it more. And then you would end up doing it anyway.

Maybe it's the fact that u can't REALLY do it when ur on it that makes it so much more appealing.... (even u can have sex with ur pd but y? that's kind of gross... and messy...)
