I believe it's 18 years old that they cannot force you to return. Also, they have no say in what you do (legally, you'll have to deal with morally if you wish). I despised my parents and I moved out immediatly bud. It was the greatest thing I ever did, but remember to have alot of financial backup if you decide to so early. I left my house when I saved a total of $7000. That covered the apartments monthly payment (first month, just to get me started), furniture and bills. Combined with a good job, nothing can stop you. Movies and people make this matter too complicated, just get out there and try!

I believe legally your parents are responsible for you until your 18 years of age.
