How do I tell a beautiful woman she needs less make-up?

I know this East Indian (Gujarati) woman in my botany lab who wears a lot of makeup and looks really good, but would look even so much better if she just took it all off.
It's so obvious that she is gorgeous underneath it. You can tell her skin isn't perfect underneath it, but it's not bad at all, and would actually look better without anything over it. Especially in the long term. Her eyes are HUGE, dark, and deep, and her eyelashes are already like 2 inches long. Her lips are deliciously dark like a plum and the only thing she should even THINK of wearing is lip balm.

As a man, I would think that telling a girl she is so naturally gorgeous that she doesn't need any make-up at all would be a compliment: "God made you beautiful so you wouldn't have to!"

I think most women would take this badly, like "you do your makeup badly and look ugly" kinda thing.

Is there a nice way to tell a woman something that is essentially nice, but sounds bad?

Tell her she is sooooo beautiful...Why does she cover it up.

In this instance unless you are used to communicating with this woman on a personal level i would say beware. Wearing make up is not always about the end result, often it is a way of masking self esteem issues. If you are bent on having this conversation i would approach it from the "make up doesnt do your natural beauty justice and i bet you would find it actually detracts from your many lovely natural physical characteristics" and then list a few of them for her just as you have in your question here.
But if she is happy with her own body image then thats all that matters and you might have to be content knowing that she a rough diamond that doesnt need to dazzle!

I'm a women and if a guy were to say it to me that way I would totally take it as a compliment tell her she has such a natural beauty she doesn't need the make up you like her the way she is.

I think the best way to tell her would be as a compliment. Let her know she looks good with make up- but you would love to see her with out. Then just let it go. Either she will accept the compliment or she won't. If she won't then there is probably no way of telling her with out hurt feelings.

Since you don't seem to know her very well except for her being in your botany lab, i wouldn't mention it. However, if you wind up becoming friends, i am sure you will find the right moment to tell her how beautiful she really is.

it is your opinion and obviously she thinks differantely. yet some human beings females placed on extra make up then we favor on the grounds that we anticipate of thats what you adult men favor or makes us look better. in the experience that your on a close courting w/this lady and in casual verbal substitute you would possibly want to element out that she doesnt favor make up and that her personality and organic radiance of elegance is each and every thing a actual guy needs. hehe yet no count number what you imagine or how convincing you're if its not what makes her sense sturdy or how she feels about it, she will be in a position to proceed doing her beautification the way she needs.

Just tell her she looks really nice. I too would be careful but maybe you could say that she is lucky, that she doesn't need make up to look good. I would probably let her wear the make up she likes so that she is comfortable but maybe you could tell her sometime when she looks best.

Tell her she is very beautiful but it is hard to see her beauty because of all of the make-up she wears. Smile. There's just no way to tell if she will accept your advice or get angry. That's the chance you take.
