It might have too rich an idle which I doubt on a fuel injection car(assuming yours is fuel injected) some of your sensors could be bad or maybe your throttle shuts completely and not allowing air to go through.

The most comun problem with the camaros is the sensor controlling the transmission. What I mean by that is that when you come to a stop light the transmission is not changing back to first gear it is getting stuck in other gear. One way of testing this is by putting your transmission in neutral when you hit a stop light, if the car does not stall, that would tell me that is the transmision problem. The part is called transmission solenoid, you can take your car to AMCO? I think that is what is called they do free check up on transmission and most of the tranny shops also do a free check up, good luck!!

is it only when stopping? It could have a fuel pump going bad, a clogged fuel filter, dirt in the tank, or the most expensive, the computer or fuel injection system.

Check your ignition control module. Too much heat kills 'em in Chevys. While it's being checked, change your spark plugs and ignition wires. If that's been done already, make sure nothing was knocked loose. Electricity is usually this problem, not so much skunk fuel.

Little vague, could be the trans TC stuck in lock down, could be tune up could be MAF. I'd rule out the trans first then start with the electrical...

in that year the camaro came with the fuel injection, so i don't think that is your problem. but a comon problem on those vehicles is the ecm or eprom(the chip in the computer). best thing to do is to take it to a shop, and hook a scanner to it.

I had the exact same thing happen to a '90 Cutlass and one of the computer chips just needed to be cleaned. It cost almost nothing.
