kent, when i was first reading your answer, i was very agreeable, liked what you had to say, and then you started saying how dare i say that is what liberals are? Verde, these are not liberal, they are extremists. They don't represent the "liberal agenda" just as Conservatives are not represented by the people who murder abortion doctors.
Most of the world is many many different shades of gray, not pure black and white.
Chances are that you pass by many liberals everyday and you don't recognize them just by the way they look. I've known a couple, not a lot, of people that dress like hippies yet are Republican. You shouldn't judge a book by it's cover or a group of people on a very small minority of that group.

some people are so immersed into what THEY think is right that they forget that there are people out there that genuinely care about America and are real patriots...A Liberal is simply a view of America that differs from what Conservatives want...neither one is wrong, both are Americans that go to work, pay taxes, send their kids to school, obey the laws, and try to make this a better world for themselves and future generations...the people in that slide show are outside the range of decency and are not Liberals...they are crackpots...how dare you or johnscary create such a lie. If you have a different opinion than a liberal, voice it like a man and lets have a civilized debate. If you create a lie saying that this slide show shows what Liberals are, you are just as bad as those you complain of and you are not a decent or patriotic---you are simply another nutcase.

... those are the extremists... not the vast majority... 48 percent of the nation voted for kerry, that's 1 out of every 2... so every other person you see could be a liberal...
we're not all perfect, but neither are conservatives...
if anyone thinks that is how most liberals are, that's extremely naive and maybe you should leave your hometown at some point...

There are nut jobs on both ends of the political spectrum. The vast majority of people are somewhere in the middle. Just because someone is liberal thinking doesn't mean they're some stoned, naked, mentally unstable freak, nor does being a republican mean you're some fascist, corporatist, religious cult fanatic.

Absolutely not. As the earlier user stated, their are radical nut jobs on both the liberal and conservative side. The people in these photo's are clearly nut jobs and definitely do not represent my feelings on things.

Those pictures are about as representative of most liberals, as the Westboro Church is representative of most conservatives or most Christians. In case you don't recognize the reference, that's the church group that protests at military funerals, saying that God is killing the soldiers because God hates America.
