Four to five batches is normal. I hope you are removing the fry as well. Males are capable of impregnating females as young as two to three weeks.

Some guppies are born pregnant . I know I didn't believe it either, but I keep my females separated from my males and some of my babies ended up having babies. Females can hold their fertile eggs until conditions are just right, like temp of water how fresh the water and the quantity of food. they don't want their food supply to run low so why give birth to something that will eat your share. Also the type of food like frozen shrimp { from a pet store} will trigger birthing. Make sure NOT to put in cubes while still frozen because it can damage your fish with frostbite. Good luck with your babies. Make sure they have some place to hide because mommy and daddy like to eat them.

it would want to likely take 28-40 days for them to have fry. even as u initiate to be sure a depressing spot in the back of the tummy referred to as a gravies spot she will be in a position to provide beginning quickly. The guppies will attempt to devour the toddlers so make positive u both have quite some flora or u can separate the toddlers

Once fertilized, Guppies can have babies for most of their lives. Very efficient method of propagating the species.
