i have a band and we need a name, any ideas?

try a verb. that would be clever and different. you'd stand out amongst the million bands that start with "the" nowadays =)

I have two suggestions:
1- Queen and Slaves Co. (or without the Co.)
2- Most of the bands no matter the sort of music or year find their names because something interesting in their lives: "Pink Floyd" are the nick names of two blues man, "Black Sabbath" is the name of a Boris Karloff's movie, "Ten Years After" because that band starts 10 years after Elvis Presley start to rock & roll, "Uriah Heep" is a character of a book named "David Copperfield"... there are a lot of bands with their names coming from books, places, movies, etc. Just search inside of yours and I am sure you will find a great name for the band!

Thumb through a dictionary or encyclopedia, you may get some inspiration. What kind of rock band anyway, rock is a pretty general term. What kind of songs or theme will you be focusing on, have your name reflect the image you wish for your band.
