Renaissance women generally were considered to be beautiful if they had the following features. Wide hips, pale skin, a bit of a belly, medium-size breast, brunette. If they were chunky it inferred that they were rich and didn't have to work. Also if they were pale it meant they didn't have to be out in the sun working and it was also considered to be a symbol of purity.

I haven't noticed any attractive women in that era of painting .they seemed to be pale, wirey haired and either obese or skinny without breasts (flat chested )....
Incidentally , wasn't the Renaissance a product of Italy and France more often than not''great art ,music , building and stuff.......I don't see England as a Renaissance country .....
The people in England at that time may have come out of some kind of horrible plague or famine.......

In short the desired woman of the Renaissance, not only in England but now modern day Europe was what we now consider to be overweight: a 10-20 lbs overweight female, not a bad idea seeing as how the average femal size in the Western world is dress size 10-14.

also you can never go wrong with your local library. The interent still has a limited amount of data entered into it, particularly on topics on anitquity.

Well chunky weomen were considered attractive, as can be seen in many of the paintings. You never had skinny models back then. You see skinny was actually the norm, since everyone was in bad health and there wasnt enough food always. SO when you had a nice plump healthy young lady, it was rare and attractive.

Look ar old photographs from that era. The women that were desired had a pale complexion, you were considered more desireable because your skin had not been tarnished by the sun, and they were full figured. Almost all of them had curves and a belly puoch and were not afraid to show it.

merely positioned an easy male and lady area by ability of area and look at them. each and everything with regard to the female would be sparkling, cut back, and appropriate. each and everything with regard to the male would be tough, bushy, and thrown mutually. in certainty (and this is going back to the roots of human exsistence) womens' brains have been made to entice, and mens' have been made to seek. merely bear in ideas that ladies persons are meant to be "attractive" as in, attracting something.

look at paintings of women from the Renaissance, and you'll notice all the women are fat, compared to todays beauty standards. Fat women were considered beautiful because it meant that they had wealthy men to provide for them and have money for food.

Broad shoulders, tiny waist, broad hips, very pale skin, large dark eyes, red hair (Queen Elizabeth had red hair), beautiful hands (the Queen was proud of her hands, and whatever the Queen liked became fashionable).
