I think she's either a nun or horribly disfigured.

It's sad. I'm not judging, I legitimately feel sorry for her. I personally don't think there is any logical reason to deny yourself something that important and so ingrained in your biology. Celibacy didn't come about in the Catholic church until around the 1100's I think. It's the whole idea that if you take away one of somebody's basic needs you have complete control over them. I know a lot of people think God doesn't want people to have sex, but I'm sure he really doesn't care. It's part of being human and the whole idea is to not hurt anyone in the process (hence the no adultery commandment.) I feel sorry for anyone who denies themselves their right to experience one of the greatest things we will experience on earth.

She has more guts than me. A number of friends of mine are celibate. I have been celibate since 1978 except for a period in 1996. I gave up my virginity ecause a boss of mine told me "if you had a woman, you wouldn't know what to do". I found out, but regret that phase of my life.

So, yes, I would admire this person greatly.

That she wasted the chance to experience other facets in love. I guess she wouldn't stay married long (I think that one can anulate the wedding for it), I don't see why you would want that?

If she's a nun or religious person, then I think that's something that comes with the calling, if she was virgin when she decided she wanted to enter religious service.

It's the way she choose to live her life. I will support her but I feel that she is missing out on something that can and is great and wonderful. Each person has a right to believe and live their life as they see fit.

There's no reason for me to think anything in particular about that. It's her choice, her life. If she's happy like that, then that's just great.

We have lost alot of our free choices, or rights, that is a personal choice she made, I have no right to place judgement on her. If she is happy, thats great and still her choice, no matter what people say.

I think it is her personal choice and we should not judge her on something that does not hurt us.

And to kak...even horribly disfigured women can get some....have you ever been to a frat party=)

She is more than likely dedicating her life to God and has decided that she is content with her life.
