next time when you are sick, go to a doctor and ask for a doctor's note. save the note, and use it when you need an excuse to take the day off. just use a rubber to erase the date that the doctor has put on the note, and put the date you want to be excused. that's what i did last time when i need an excuse to hand in my assignment late...

Remember that due to doctor/patient confidentiality, a doctor's note will not go into any kind of detail regarding your medical condition. It would say something like, "I saw Mr. Smith on September 7, 2006, and due to his medical condition, I advised him not to return to work for a period of at least seven days."

That's supposed to be enough for anyone.

just call your dr. and tell him you didn't feel good and need a note for whatever. i've done that before and sometimes they will do it without an appointment. it depends on the dr. and how long you've been going to them.
