When I was pregnant with my last child I tried everything. And nothing worked for me. But hey you can try a few things that I tried, because not everyone has the same body. You can try to take castors oil, walking alot, having sex or sometimes they say spicy food will do the trick. But as I said I tried it all and nothing worked for me. Your baby will not come until it is ready to come!

I was in labor and delivery on saturday with false labor. They told me the only way to become not pregnant is the same way I became pregnant. Which pretty much means just relax. Take warm baths or showers, get a nice back rub, and yes, sex. There is the natural equivlant to petocin in semen and it will aggitate the cervix. Walking doesn't help anything unless you are already in labor. It will just make you tired. Castor oil will just make you sick.
Let me know what works for you. I am almost 39 weeks and soooo tired myself..

If you are due , then walking will help , not only in going into labor but the labor will be a breeze ( it did for me ) , some ppl say drink castor oil , or stimulate your nipples , when i was on bedrest they told my husband no sex and no stimulation of the nipples or i would go into labor

Nothing will work unless your body is all set up and ready for labor. Don't take castor oil...it makes you feel terrible. I have always heard that sex can help you out. Talk to your doctor about some safe things you can do to move things along. He/she will know your history better than anyone on here and can tell you what is safe for you and your baby

My sister just had her baby tonight. She was desperate this past week to bring labor on. I told her lots of sex, walking. What do ya know? Her and her hubby did their thang this afternoon and right after, her water broke, she went to the hospital and I had a brand new nephew by 7:30 pm tonight!

everybodys bodys are different, but there are many things you can try. Parsley tea is a good one. just get some dried parsley, and boil it for a while, strain it and drink up. I would drink a glass every couple hours or so. it doesnt taste great but it should help. also try getting an exercise ball, sit on top of it and roll your hips side to side and front to back ect.. and dont take caster oil, it can cause problems. and DONT let them strip your membranes! it is not worth it. it can lead to infection, witch can lead to csection. and it can also cause your labor to be much harder!....good luck!

Sex, sperm has a natural chemical that can induce labor, if you are 37 weeks or less, hold off on home remedies, your baby will be too young, and might be at risk for infection, jaundice, and breathing difficulties at this age, nothings sadder then when your baby cant come home when you do.
yes walking helps.

Wait for your uterus to start contracting.
Don't rush your labor--soon enough you'll have a screaming baby in your arms and you'll wish like hell he was back inside and it was quiet in your world again. :)
If your due date was miscalculated and you're not as far along as your doctor/midwife thinks you are, the extra week or so in utero will be crucial for the baby.
If you're overdue, however, your ob/midwife shouldn't let you go much past 2 weeks past your due date.

I am 38 weeks and 6 days. I have tried walking, sex, raspberry leaf tea, nipple stimulation, orgasms, and my doc even stretched my cervix. I still have had no signs of labor...so i believe he will come when he wants to!! GOOD LUCK!!!
