I'm using 56k dial-up modem, and i'm connected with others with D-link DES-1016D switch.

I think anyone who reads this will have to know a lot more about the computers your talking about, especially which OS your running. Keep in mind, it will BE SLOW........

56K dial-up modem connection can be used by any computer in your area as long as all of you use the same telephone line/number, and only one of you need to dial up.
And yes, it is slow because not only 56K, but also the bottle-neck. Think about the 3 lane street turned into one lane.

Windows XP has something called Internet Connect Sharing. If you are using XP go to the Help and search for Internet Connect Sharing. I don't know if anybody actually used this or if it even works but the capability is there in the documentation.

Most routers works with DSL connection. You need special hardware to accomplish this. Look at this in Amazon .com for more info. This is what you need.

You can try enabling Internet connection sharing but the result of sharing a 45k connection is going to be real disappointing.
