It's rare that we hear anything like that here. We're more likely to hear a bear or a coyote than a police siren.
Course, there was the day about a year ago when I woke up to police helicopters buzzing the house. No sirens, though... does it still count?

We live right around the corner from the fire station. Right now, nothing is going on. That's a switch ! Usually there's a fire truck, rescue squad or police car flying up our street, or a helicopter flying over our house en route to the hosp.
