How can I make ethnocentric into a picture?

For a project, I need to draw a picture of ethnocentric. I need examples. My parents are stumped. Please answer me ASAP!!!

Draw a warped picture of a world map and have the size of your country highly enlarged and sizes of other countries and continents considerably smaller than they should be in comparison.

Think about all of the things where ethnocentrism is used. Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethnocentrism and look at the list of "types of ethnocentrism". You could draw a picture of the propoganda used by some of these groups, including newspaper and magazine pictures and headlines to create a collage effect. Failing that, draw a picture of a person surrounded by mirrors.

ethnocentric means being convinced that the "race" that you are is the centre of all your thought. In a certain way every race is ethnocentric, since we get our selfesteem through the image of ourselves as being the most important person, and hence we tend to gather with like persons. For your project draw a big circle & stick picturs inside of ssay examples of the culture of one race
This could be "polynesian", hence lais, hungis, hula skirts, canoes etc.
This will suggest the "centric" part of ethnocentric by the circle; and the "ethno" by the choice of "race" pictures.

You could make other circles with other examples of races. I am in Australia, so I would put a circle with "Aboriginal" type artifacts and cultural icons

aborignal
polynesian
melanisian
etc are all recognised as world races.

To suggest that we are in fact a world culture you may have these circles touching or even overlapping slightly to express the fact that there is interaction.

Draw...man...I think I would try start with a map...pick a country and then illustrate the items we associate with the culture. Italy-spaghetti, cannolli, Dutch - the wooden shoe, windmill.

I know it sounds trite, this is a difficult assignment.

I like the first answer. Just remember to make sure the country in question is in the center of the picture.

Draw the Duquesne Tamburitzans doing an Eastern European mazurka, I dunno.

Or those Irish jig dancing folks--the River Dance people.

Or a plate of corned beef and cabbage, with green beer.

Or pierogies, polish kielbaska, and a few latkes on the side.

Or chitlins, hogmaws, and green beans with pork neckbones.

Maybe an Indian headdress, tomahawk and casino in the background.

Ummmm... Hitler, Nazis, Klan members... Any example of a person or group who declared one race to be superior to another. Those are just the most famous.
