How about if the voters make the change. Tell the politicians from now on, all you want to hear and see is why you should vote for them, not slander & lies about the opponents. Aren't you tired of voting for the "lesser of two evils"? The Republican Committee has earmarked $50million for raking up muk to use against the Democrats, who I'm sure have just as much handy! I for one am tired of hearing the crap they shovel not only at election time, but all the time. How about leading the country for a change huh? Tell the candidates if they get negative, they don't get your vote! It's up to you the voters!

Attack ads have destroyed our election process. Everyday people are so put off by this crap that they end up tuning out and not voting. If a candidate spends all his time attacking his opponent, it is obvious he doesn't feel that he has any positive qualifications, or he would run on them. I think we need real campaign finance reform, and election day should be a national holiday, but that's for another thread.

If the electorate would smarten up we could get rid of negative ads. Both parties fully realize that most people have no clue where a candidate stands on the issues,if they even know the candidates at all.Start screening the candidates and learn where they stand by attending a rally or watching a debate. Then and only then can we get rid of the Michael Moores, and the swift boat vets of the world.

No! I'm so tired of the slandering political crap! They need to be concerned with what needs to be done to make things better and not with how to make other candidates look bad! It's like a teenage popularity contest and not a political race.

People usually start getting negative when they have nothing positive to add to the mix. I personally don't vote for anyone who uses innuendo and hints that the other candidate is somehow bad for us. I vote for candidates with positive ideas and positive attitudes.

I think so, cause then you can see who is desperate enought to go and say things about other people. Shows you how pathetic they are and it gives other people time to clear it up. There is one on right now between Granholm and DeVos. She said a bunch a crap about him and I was just waiting for his come back and in his he said he wasn't gonna deal with the political attempts to make her look bad, just look at the facts. I was like... YEAH!!!!

Personal attacks against other candidates should not be tolerated and must not be entertained because it is bad for politics.
