well like everyone would say, do something that you like! something that when u wake up , you are excited to go to work. well medical admin. waking up to get peoples insurance , verifying the insurance and filling out insurance forms and such isnt what i want. i dont want to deal w/ insurance at all. so therefore im looking elsewhere to get into. teaching i can see myself teaching the lil ones, but yet i see myself in the detective area. i think imma just finish up my school, graduate, work a bit in that field hopefully then think of what i actually want to do. thanks to all who answered....

Who's paying for your college? Work a real tough job for a while, manual labor, and maybe you'll find some focus to get the right education. As it is you're drifting. I did the same thing, so I not just dissin' you.
You need to work to live; it's part of the social contract. Go out and do something to earn a living and quit wasting your time and $ in college. Any job would be good, just get going! Like stereos? Sell them! Like cars? Sell the kind of cars you like! You'll meet people with interesting careers and who knows, someone might give you a good idea.

Wow. Don't know a job that doesn't do the same thing day in and day out. I mean, jobs have accountabilities and specific tasks. But how you do the jobs, well, that's another issue, and that can differ day in and day out, and it also depends on the workplace.

Sometimes satisfaction doesn't just come from doing the same thing, but from doing something meaningful towards people, like teachers. Some teachers I know do it and find satisfaction that everyday, some kid is learning something, and in that way, they make a difference in some kid's life.

Ask yourself why you wanted to be a teacher, and don't focus so much on the "same thing over and over in a day". That's just a superficial reason.

I believe you've answered your own question. "Public school Curriculum is lame". It's because our school systems suck. Teachers don't coordinate with each other, so the kids get taught the same things every year. In my opinion, since we live in America, American history should come first. But spending a couple of years doing world history would be a really good idea. There's only so many times you can learn about the first thanksgiving before you just don't care anymore.

You talked about being an investigator. You might want to become a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).

I believe it takes 2-3 years to become one.

I'm not sure what their website is, but do a search and you will find plenty of information.

Become a teacher. you get to retire in 27 years.
I work in a factory. been here 25 years and still have
12 to go before I can retire. hard work, too.
People I went to high school with have already retired.
Be a kinder garden teacher. That could NEVER get boring
