Molecular biology is the study of biology at a molecular level. The field overlaps with other areas of biology and chemistry, particularly genetics and biochemistry. Molecular biology chiefly concerns itself with understanding the interactions between the various systems of a cell, including the interrelationship of DNA, RNA and protein synthesis and learning how these interactions are regulated.

well u talk cell and u talk DNA.the latter is found in the former and since the cell is the basic unit of life, the DNA comprises one of the most important units of life.this DNA specifies what u look like, the characteristics of ur body.it differenciates u from the next person even a family member and even twins.this DNA is seen as 2 strands wound together i.e. a double helix.the strands have points on them that symbolise peptides.if this arrangement is disrupted due to mutation caused by anything from radiation to congenital disorders, something unusual happens like u see a kid with more than 5 figers on 1 hand,or a disease may occur as well.
