Does the size even matter at all? Are people too caught up in bling-bling now days rather than the marriage and love?

size doesnt matter lol, its the thought that counts, if you really love the person when you look back at 80 yrs old you arent gonna say look at my 3 k ring, but youll remember when it was presented

Well women get very large rings nowdays. So a karat is the smallest you should get. I got a karat and at the time hubby didn't make but like 300 bucks a week. If I were buying one I would try for a karat but if you can't get what you can. It's not about the ring but women like a good sized one or I do. I like bold things...

1/2 carat is a nice size without being too flashy. Size is only one part of how much a ring costs though. Cut makes a big difference is how sparkly a diamond is and I think that is more important!

Lots of people care way too much about their rings and thier weddings and not enough about their marriages and families.

i don't have a single stone in my engagement ring. i have 2ct. of diamonds in it, 21 stones, on a large setting....i like it better than a solitaire. there are more choices on design with a multi stone ring....be creative.
i can't stand that HUGE rock look in the middle of a skinny band. give that rock some friends, HA HA!
Even my wedding band is different. i have emeralds and diamonds in it instead of just diamonds. emeralds are my hubby's birth stone.
he has a band with diamonds and the birth stones of our kids.

it's not about the bling really. i wanted something different, and personal.

The size of a ring should reflect only a serious committment without breaking the bank. It's the size of the committment that matters.

In this case, size does not matter. My husband was so concerned about not buying a big enough rock. I think he lost sleep over it, and it really never mattered to me. I never have understood the desire for big diamonds.

Anything you buy her she will love if she truly loves you in the first place. Don't worry about it. Size doesn't matter - in rings!

Middle class...about a one carat. Marriage and love is most important, but if you can afford it the ring is a nice touch!

at least 2 to 4 k but if your girl is not that materialistic, she'll accept anything just to prove she truly loves you. Make sure the ring is not fake though.
