If I had slammed four fingers in the door I certainly wouldn't take the time to ask for help by typing questions here.

If nothing is broken, ice is good...15 minutes on, 15 off
If the skin is not broken and neither are the bones there is not much else you can do...take some Ibuprofen to reduce the swelling and help with the pain

If nothing is broken then you are doing all you need too do. Just give them some time to heal up and don't use them too much. And by the way your a hell of a one handed typer. lol

Sounds like reasonable advice so far, I would take an Advil or aspirin to help reduce the swelling also.

Type with the other hand? Seriously, keep an eye on it and if it feels injured or is still swollen in a few hours, have it seen to.
