If you have crooked teeth, then tell them how much it bothers you and how it affects you.

Make an appointment just to meet with a orthodontist and listen to what he/she has to say and suggestions on how braces help.

My parents wouldnt pay for mine so I had to earn my own money to get them and I got them for business purposes. Meaning I wanted to look professional so that in the business world I could succeed or be that one step closer to succeeding. Even if its a slight edge you want to have that edge over everybody.

braces are a very expensive item to get, from 4,000 to 5,000

unless your parents have nice, well paid jobs, they might not be so thrilled to shell out that kind of money

if you know your parents are not that well off financially, maybe you need to hold off on your braces wish.

Your dentist should tell your parents that you need braces.

That's the dentist's job when providing you with complete dental care.

Talk to her/him on your next visit.

I am 63 years old. I have very crooked teeth. There is hardly a day that goes by that I still don't think about my crooked teeth. Please, don't let that happen to you.
