My sister had a baby young because she wanted it. She refused to marry the father she chose to have the baby with because he cheated on her. But he would have been faithful after the marriage he was that type of person. After three months she decided she regretted giving up partying and went back to partying constantly such that my father and I raised my niece for a few years.
Do not have a baby until you are ready to take the responsibility. She dumped her off as much as possible on anyone and everyone every chance she got to go out and party for many many years after that. Then when she got responsible she got married to a man with children who cheated on his wife to get involved with her. He did the same to her. She just selects these type of men always to this day even though divorced again.
Do not have a baby looking for someone to love you learn to love yourself first like my sister should have so she could find someone who loved her not just someone she had to chase after to get rejected by forever because her own mother hated her and made sure she knew it. You cannot make up for a bad mother, other relationship etc. through a baby.
If you want a baby think about the world you are bringing it into that is not stable and think about if you can take care of yourself and the child along with be ready to give up alot of your free time and sleep like we did while my sister went out partying
Today she is a grown up responsible adult but having a child kept her from growing up better and more for a long time.

Physical healthwise, not much. Psychological health, very damaging. A 19 year old's view on life, taste in the other sex, outlook, career, and many other 'foundations' change immensely throughout their 20's and even 30's.
Also, a teenager always seems to fawn for the 'good old days' when she reaches her mid twenties to the detriment of the attention to the child.

The health risks, for both mother and baby, apply mostly to women under the age of seventeen and over the age of thirty-five. If you're physically and mentally healthy right now, you're in your prime. You don't have much to worry about.

I had a baby at 17. The only thing that sucked was getting stretch marks at an early age. But it's not bad for your health considering you are at a healthy weight.

I think health risks are greater the OLDER the mom is. It is also more difficult to concieve when the mom is older.
I was a teenage mom. My son is healthy and happy. I am too.
I am now 24 and on my 2nd preg and it's very uncomfortable for me. It was great when I was 17 and preg

Other than a stilted youth - there should be no problem with a 19 yr old female having a baby. . . gals are doing it all the time, these days. . . but - you will never recapture the younger years - for yourself, if you have a child so young. . .
