we are already at the whim of extremists. you are right though. "gimme more" need to change to "need little" and/or "donate to the needy more"

I don't know where you get that.. I just don't see it.
People say that but it just isn't true. When we polled high school students from across the country they said they just wanted a job with a living wage. How much schooling did it take to be able to support themselves. They didn't ask for castles or BMW.
They went on to say a place to live and maybe a car or some transportation to work. A job that pays enough I can find a place to live. And still be able to buy food.
They are more informed than any other generation of people.
They know that the people in Africa don't have a place to live or food. That Indonesia the tidle wave and earth quake destroyed peoples homes and jobs. Maybe the ones who came up before them but not the ones in my class today.

I don't believe what you are saying is true - we are not in a "gimme more" culture. The way this country came together after 9/11 demonstrates that we are a culture that giving the right causes we will sacrifice and do the right thing.

I agree totally.

As we were taught, think of the good of others before ourselves.

Love our neighbour as ourselves.

We should practise that. Else. . . it will be a social chaos.

I do, and it already has.

They have successfully "divided and conquered" us as people and now when the goverment or the powers that be ask us to "jump" we don't ask "why", we ask "how high, Master?"

It's pathetic.
