You had it out with a friend, were not able to resolve differences because they were not willing. You decided it would be best to stop all communication with them and do not speak to them to this day, vice versa. You later see a friend of theirs who gives you a wierd look and refuses to speak to you, but did before this happened. The sister of the friend you had it out with now just keeps looking/staring at you. You carry about 35-40% of the blame for the argument but gave your friend every chance to tell you there was something wrong and try to work this out. What in the world is going on!!!!!! Why does it seem like I am being named as the bad person.

Well, the friend has a friend and a sister to back this person up, and so naturally they are going to take his/her side. But just because two people are giving you funny looks, doesn't mean the whole world is blaming you. Chances are, your sister, if you have one, or brother, and friend will take your side. It takes two to argue and two to end a relationship. It's really none of any one else's business. I wouldn't worry about being a bad person. You did what you thought best under the circumstances, so I would just ignore the stares. You haven't committed any crime.

Anytime you argue with a friend there are going to be people making you out to be the bad guy. I'm sure that some of your friends place all of the blame on your ex-friend too. There are 3 sides to every story. Each person tells their take on what happened and then there is the truth.

I know exactly how you feel, I had a very similar almost identical situation happen to me. I felt like everyone was blaming me for not talking to my friend, but she wasnt talkin to me either, and she had just as many chances herself to talk to me and sort out our problem. Well we let this go on for a couple of years, and looking back on it now it was so stupid for us to have acted that way, its just that I felt so betrayed, and neither one of us wanted to be the bigger person at the time. It sucks because it was about a guy, not that we were fighting over him, it was more like he wasnt right for her, and he didnt treat her with respect. She didnt want to hear it, and so my friend of at the time 16yrs(friends from birth) chose a guy she knew for a couple of months over me. I'm sure she felt like the bad person too, and the longer we didn't speak to each other the worse it felt. All I can say is sometimes friends fight over stupid things, and it can go way too far. If you tried your best to resolve your differences then I think you did your part, and its now up to your friend to meet you the other half of the way. Try not to worry about those who give you looks, all you can do is all you can do, and all you can do is good enough! Hope it works out for ya.

Sounds like your former friend is bad mouthing you to her friends. I would either approach one of them and ask what the wierd look was about or get a new circle of friends who know there are at least 2 sides to every story.

a lot of times, and i learned this the hard way,
that the best of friends can become the worst of enemies over time. things change. u think u'd be best buds forever, but then boom. they change. and its all over.
but u know what i say? as long as u have loved a good life, and even if in your lifetime u've ever only had one good/best friend. then u are the better for it.

because she has pulled all of her friends on her side and made you to be the bad person ... it happens all the time ... you won't be able to change anything now ... just let it all blow over ... it will
