It would be nice to know were you reside, depending on the local, I may know of some nice places, but chances are not. If you are wanting to get away from the franchise grind I would look into one of the local underground newspaper in your city. They usually rate local restaurants by cuisine. Some cuisines you may to consider, Indian, Vietnamese, Thai, or even a small locally owned Mexican restaurant.

I was going to answer Artist Point at Disney's Wilderness Lodge and have the cedar Planked Salmon until I read the "bunch" which I interpret as group...
That's not good there... so, a bunch...
I don't like Hooters but that is where lots of 'bunch's' go.
also applebys, which is ok, as well as Olive garden...
I'm almost 24 hours after you ask so you've already been.
will you let us know what you decided?

undos itilian restaurant, red lobster, west texas road house, happy gardens(chinese buffet) applebees, outback steak house, ....okay so that is allof the nicer resaurants in my town, all that is left is mc donalds, wendy, long john silvers, sub way, dairy queen. we have a couple of family one of a kind places that are open 24/7 but people only go there when they are drunk because the food sucks. if i drive an hour and a half away from where i live...there is an olive garden, and a ruby tuesdays, chilis, and a mexican restaurant.

That would depend on where you live! Chipotle is good where I live for a quick lunch. South of the Border, California Pizza and Panera Bread Company can also work for lunch.
