Did you get the felony when you under 18? If so you may get a form from your local juvenile detention center, pay a fee and have your records sealed.

If you are over 18 I would not say that college is a waste, but I would say that in any situation getting a job will be a little more challenging. Perhaps going to college can help prove to someone that you have changed and want a better life for yourself.

I would honestly have to say no. Obviously there might be some careers that might be more difficult to get into, but not all of them. Also, a lot of potential employers look at how old the felony is. If it is fresh then they might have an issue with hiring you (depending on what you plan to major in, this should not be an issue). My mom works for John Deere and she knows for a fact that there are people that work there who have felonies on their record (obviously they dont work in the accounting area, but you get the gist). Do not be afraid to improve yourself and while you may have made a mistake in the past, do not punish yourself for the rest of your life for it! Good luck!

No. Graduating from college, especially with honors or a lot of personal recommendations from professors and deans may be a basis for going back to the courts and having your felony conviction expunged from your record.

Never see improving yourself as a waste. You are valuable. Spend your time wisely, and it will pay off far greater than you can imagine.

I don't think so. I think it would look better to a potential employer that you want to make something out of your life. It would look better to have a college degree with a felony than a felony and be a high school dropout. It can't hurt....put it that way.

No.
Employers will look at the conviction and not like it but when they look at the fact that you have been to college, achieved some extra qualifications, work experience maybe, and no further convictions some employers will see this as you turned over a new leaf and they may be willing to give you a chance.
