They do, but they shouldn't. Everyone is the stands stands up, and cheers. Hockey is not about fighting, it is about winning! I think that fighting in a hockey game is stupid. Stupid, Stupid, Stupid.

But hey, it's just my opinion.

Fighting is an integral part of the sport. You don't have to fight in every game. Hockey is a violent sport, that's just how it is. Fighting is a way to keep the players in check. It's hard to understand if you've have not played in that type of environment. Is it primitive? Yes, but there aren't as many psycho hockey players off the ice as there are in other sports. I don't have exact numbers on that stat, but it probably supports my argument. The toughest fighters in the NHL are usually pretty nice guys. I agree, that there are some loose screws, but nothing is perfect. Also, I agree, fighting can fire a team back up, it can be a catalyst for whatever is left in a game. It can also be a team strengthening move. Always defend your captain. Even if it means dropping the gloves.

So to answer your question? I've never been to a game where people in the stands didn't watch a fight as it broke out. If anything, they totally get into it.

easily, they do, in the experience that they have got were given the possibility. frequently even as hockey gamers get right into a wrestle in the time of a sport, this is understood to be "in basic terms organization" and they leave the warfare of words in the back of on the ice. There reaIlly is mostly not any animosity in any respect with it. i have considered adult men almost shaking palms on their thanks to the penalty container! 2 hockey gamers might want to be on rival communities, get into knock-down drag-out fights in a sport, and nonetheless be best of pals off of the ice. count number of reality, gamers from diverse communities frequently have extra understand for some except their followers do.

Even though I don't like fighting you can't help but get wrapped up in it and get excited rooting for the guy on your team to beat the crap out of the other guy.

YES! its part of are game and if you don't like it then don't watch it. Bettman is trying to get it out of the game, we need to get rid of Bettman before he does. he has damaged the game so much its hurting. Bettman needs an a-s-s whooping. like the others have said in critical points of the game sometimes it helps to fire a team back up and start to play the game.

Hell Yeah, Its even better when 2 goalies go at it, my all time favorite goalie fight was when Vernon kicked the crap out of Roy. Another was Cloutier against Salo, Cloutier kicked the crap out of him and as he skated past the islanders bench challenged them all, it was awesome to watch.
