It used to be lumber, but that industry has pretty much died.
Rumor is that it's marijuana, but that's hard to prove.
The Willamette Valley (between Portland and Eugene) is the main agricultural area. The main crops are grass seed, filberts, mint (usually processed into oil). Quite a bit of fruit, especially apples in the Columbia River gorge. Some wheat in the north central part of the state, but far more is grown in Washington and Montana.
Lately the main crop seems to be California transplants.
