The group which contains our own galaxy, the Milky Way, is called the Local Group, and contains more than 40 galaxies

The Milky Way is part of the Local Group, which is actually small (relatively few galaxies) as far as galaxy groups are concerned. The Local Group is in turn part of the Local supercluster (sometimes called the Virgo Supercluster, not to be confused with the Virgo Cluster, which is also part of the Local Supercluster).
