Losing your mucus plug can not predict when you will go into labor. Everyone is different. You can walk around dilated without a mucus plug for weeks before you go into labor. All that the mucus plug means is inpending labor.

Mucus plug aka Bloody show is usually one of the signs that labor is pretty close. This happens when the fetus has "dropped down" in the pevis and is creating more pressure on the cervix. I think it is very difficult to say when the actual labor will happen. Some people give birth sooner than others.

Yes and no.
Usually you lose pieces of your mucus plug at a time. So you don't necessarily go into labor in a couple of weeks because you haven't lost the whole plug. With my son, I lost it a little at at time though it seemed like a whole lot to me. I ended up being induced with him. Your mucus plug is bigger than you realize so you get lots of thick slimy mucus for a long while.

No its not true, if you lose your mucus plug its because your cervix is effacing or dialating. I lost my mucus plug/ bloody show 4wks ago at only 1cm dialated and was hopeful that labor would be soon but im still pregnant and scheduled to be induced soon.

if the mucus plug has gone it means the cervix is starting to soften and maybe dialate, so labour will follow quite soon, perhaps up to 2 weeks later

After losing your mucus plug, you can go anywhere from hours to weeks...This is no indication that labor is near...

It can take a few weeks to lose it completly. But generally after you lose it you should go into labor. Although every person is different, this is one for your doctor, or midwife.
