Personally I Would Give Tracfone,Probally 2 1/2.
Reasons:
1.There Minutes Are WAYYYY To Expensive.
2.There Phones Are To Expensive,And Plus Theres No Insurance On The Phones.
Reccomendations:
1.Tmobile-They Have The Prepaid Phones,For Cheap Depending On Which Phone You Buy,And There Minutes Are Like Really Cheap Too.

If you are giving this to your son (child or young adult) -- you may want to rethink your plan. TracFones are great for disciplined people who know it is only for emergencies. To use it as a primary phone can be extremely expensive. It has been a while since I had one, but sometimes I paid ten cents per minute -- it adds up quickly, very quickly. And if the minutes run out -- the phone is dead.

On the other hand, there are companies out there that offer local calls only or student plans or unlimited minutes. Only you can decide what is best for your situation.

Well, the phones themselves are fine, I just got one to replace a stolen one at the Dollar Store for $20.00. I think that the cards you have to buy for minutes are outrageous, however. I am going to look at Metro PSC, supposed to have unlimited minutes. Worth checking out anyway.
Good luck to ya!
