It could be a pinched nerve in your leg or back. See a doctor or physiotherapist if it keeps up, especially if more parts of your foot keep going numb.

I just went to the doctor a month ago for the same reason. It was my right pinky toe and It was a pinched nerve. Its connected to your foot along the outside of your leg.

sometimes the middle toe on my right foot does that too. but onlywhen it is cold. It is caused by a pinched nerve,and rubbing it helped me. I go barefoot alot. in the house.

Could be a nerve or circulation issue. If it keeps up you really should get it checked, because it could be a symptom that if addressed in it's early stage could be way better dealt with.

Probably a pinched nerve. I had that happen after carrying my son around when he was a baby.
