You know what I mean right? When the labtop is shut, not open, flat, etc. I have friends that do it all the time. But can't seem to get mine to do it. I think they have Mac's that might have something to do with it? I have an HP and use Windows XP. Also the music program I use is Windows Midea Player.

Yeah, you sure can do it with a PC. You have to go to your laptop's power management settings and disable the standby when laptop lid is closed.

So, from the start button, go to control panel and select power options. Then click on the Advanced tab and then under "When I close the lid of my portable computer", select "Do nothing". That way, your computer will stay on and you can run all the music you want when the screen/lid is shut.

i think you have to set it that when you close the lid, nothing happens. then it will still be on completely so it will play stuff.

You can do this by going to Control Panel > Power settings and there should be an option there.

you have to set your laptop's power management settings so that the screen turns off when you close it, but it doesn't go into standby mode or sleep.
