Kay-Kay i would have to say you are pretty odd and I'm impressed and surprised that you would admit such a Thing. Myself, lady, I am a conservative that doesn't agree with everything the President does. I am one probably because I was raised that way. When I was old enough to understand (i'm now 25), I realized that I did not like working for some people to live off me (welfare). I realize people need help, but I don't like that some of my paycheck helps people that aren't necessarily helping me. It's hard enough to get by. I believe in minimal government. I am pro-life (except in outstanding circumstances such as rape/incest, etc., but not as a form of birth control). I am for the death penalty because I think if you kill my child, my mother, my brother-in law, or my grandparents, you should be killed because you do not deserve to live. I believe that a man should marry a woman, although I don't dislike gay people in fact I have several as friends. I believe in the 2nd amendment, and as a single young woman own two guns and have no problem protecting myself. I could go on, but I have to get back to work (haha)... I work my *** off to support myself and my puppies and I think more of that money should be mine!!! :) That's all, good question.

I am conservative. What formed me this way is a long list and explanations. It all started though when i was about 14, and very liberal, i would read the highest liberal books, and what not. Then as i got to about 17, i started to ask my dad(he is conservative) why this and why that. He always had better answers. I was determined to beat him though, but every point a liberal brought up of any kind, he always seemed to bring a much better one up. Now, i don't agree with him on everything though.
But what helped me was this year, i had to do a book report for a government class. I picked up a liberal book and set biasness aside. I realized, that the author started off with some good points, but then started to contradict almost every point he had. Then his solutions were so unrealistic. Since i had not read any conservative books, i asked my dad if he knew any good ones. He pointed to a book written over 10 years ago called "The Way Things Ought To Be," by Rush Limbaugh. After reading it, i recommend that everyone should read it. Even if you hate Rush, or conservatives, just read it and you will understand why conservatives believe the way they do. Well, he made the most sense out of everyone i have ever met, talked to, and seen. My dad was never really considered a smart guy, but he knew his beliefs, why he held them, and why he will uphold them when people try to lie and look down upon him. I don't think that there is a greater trait among a human being. I don't let Rush, my dad, or conservatives guide my life, but rather i think about it and come to my own conclusions, and a lot of my own conclusions, match with the conservatives, perhaps that is why i am conservative.
Try reading that book no matter what you believe, i don't agree with Rush on everything, but man, he brings up some truly amazing points and ideas.

Neither, I'm a Libertarian. I believe in protecting the basic rights of the constitution. Conservatives want to take away your first amendment rights, and liberals want to take away your second amendment rights. I'm for keeping and protecting both. I made this decision when I seen a group of Conservatives protesting a adult movie store in my hometown, stating that porn leads to sexual crimes, of course the first amendment was brought up in retaliation of the protest. But it got me thinking of the old NRA slogan of "Guns don't kill people, people do." I wondered if that same logic could be applied to a liberal cause so I said out loud to myself "Porn doesn't rape people, people do" It was then I discovered that you can take any argument made by either side and change the subject of the argument but leaving it basically the same. Doing this will show just how inconsistent each side is with their arguments. Deciding then I was neither Conservative nor liberal I did some research and discovered the Libertarian party, and it made perfect sense to me. I'm for Americans having the right to own guns and porn.

I became conservative because I am for values, morals, and I have a core. I believe that doing something is better than just talking about it. I believe that freedom isn't free and that the UN is not the body of authority for the USA. My belief is to also call a spade, a spade, and not to sugar-coat things and make good look bad and bad look good. I also don't believe that convenience is an excuse to murder innocent unborn children.
I also cannot stand this behavior which shows liberals in the San Francisco Bay Area:

Liberal because we are more open to new ideas and less likely to force our beliefs on others; we are willing to reevaluate a situation based on new information; because if I have to choose between being authoritarian and being consensus-oriented, I go with consensus; and the old one, conservatives in government want to interfere in your home but liberals want to interfere in your place of business. Stay the heck out of my home!!
Liberals are ethical and compassionate and these things come from within, not imposed from without by a leader or a religious doctrine.
I got here from being a Reagan voter back in the day, decided his authoritarian ways were wrong (remember ollie north and iran-contra) so there you go!

I'm not a fan of labels, but given the two choices I'd be a liberal. Why? Because it's wrong to try and force people to act according to your own beliefs. Conservatives want to put laws in place that force people to be religious, force people to be pro-life, for people to live according to their bible, force people to join the military, you see the word 'force' coming up a lot. I believe in letting people live according to their own morality and decisions, so I'm a liberal, I guess.
