Lovesickness is merely the phenomenon that causes you to behave abnormally because of the emotion- good, bad, or indifferent. So, the true symptom I suppose would be- abnormal behavior.
TRUElovesickness- however would be quite the opposite: The phenomenon that causes you to see things with more clarity and logic because of the emotion- good, bad, AND indifferent. Symptom? I'd call it a perk!

my bf and i broke up on saturday and the next day all i did was cry and i never ate so my stomach has been messed up since then. Is that lovesickness? We are getting back together now but my heart is so confused. I still feel sick inside too.

There is no cure for love sickeness. You can;t even replace it with a beautiful women if it is a man or a handsome man if it is a woman.
Love sickness is a herat emotional content that is set in for life. You can close the door, but you will never forget.
The secret to understanding a lover sickness is "Peace of Mind. and it took me 25 years to figure that out.
