The night before my son was born (a planned induction). Both myself and his dad sat and came to terms with the fact our lives would never be the same again.We were 20 (me) and 23 (him) And as tough as it gets, we dont regret it.

When I gave birth to my wonderful little boy in 1995. I was 24 years old. That was the day I realized I better grow up and be responsible.

I was at my 21st birthday party when I realized I was really suppose to be (and act like) an adult. Didn't really set well with me - I didn't want the responsibility; in a way I still don't. (and I'm in my 40's)

22. I moved out and was living on my own. Got my paycheck and realized I did not have enough money to cover the bills and get food too. Had to decide what I could do without.

It sounds naive but 17, moved to a far city and supported myself for a year. Shook me up. It certainly didn't guarantee that I couldn't be immature in later years, though. After that..at 23, birth of our first child. And its still a work in progress....

When I was 17 and my mother died. I had to help take care of my younger brother and sister and my dad (who didn't have the faintest concept of taking care of kids) by the groceries, clean the house, cook meals. All with out any appreciation for what I was doing.

Waking up at 7 in the morning on a Saturday with a 4 year old in bed next to me and my boyfriend begging me to get up. Oh yeah...I miss those days of sleeping til noon. lol I am 22.
