i think "the one" is overrated, because when you get the one yuo want he lets you down. so girls should just be single and independant if you want kids goto a sperm bank and raise it yourself.

At 22 you are a little young to be cynical. Most women wait until they are atleast 30 ish to put on the cloak of cynicism. What will you do with the rest of your life if you are cynical now?

To answer your question....no, there is no ONE. There are several potential ONE's. I am 49 and currently single. I have been married twice (both a very long time ago) and have had several serious relationships. The last one almost destroyed me. I really thought that we would spend our golden years together. He thought he wanted to try out a younger version (he is 57 and she is 35 ish). Go figure. Yes, I can be cynical.....I have lived long enough to have earned the right.

At 22 you haven't really begun to find out who you are yet. Don't worry about the ONE. You will probably find several of them in your life time.

Enjoy being YOU. That is the only ONE that really counts.

If you want sex, get a sex buddy. If you want commitment, get a dog.

Honestly, commitment only builds over time, and often it doesn't happen at all.
