When you find out the answer, please let me know. I can't sleep! I can never sleep! I'm always tired. If I do fall asleep, it's guaraneed that in 55 - 60 minutes I will be wide awake! I've been like this my whole life and it really stinks! The rest of the world is dead asleep and I'm wide awake! My problem is I can't turn my mind off. Sometimes it helps to sleep with the tv on, but not always.

Because some people wait till they can't hold their eyes open any longer to go to sleep. Not everyone needs 8 hours of sleep a night. I read a study that says that some people can actually survive on 4 hours of sleep a night. Personally, I get on my computer and work until my eyes get tired, then i usually end up sleeping about 6 hours and wake up with no alarm clock. Also, the biggest thing that makes it hard to go back to sleep that night is waking up, turning your alarm clock off and going back to sleep.
I read another study that says that cool temperatures and extremely dark rooms make it easier for your body to release melatonin, the sleepy hormone, when the body gets tired.

I think it has to do with how much info your brain needs to process. If you're very stressed or had a busy day it takes longer because you need to think everything through. However...if you were say... a lazy person who never had enough gumption to do anything, you'd probably fall asleep right away.

I want to know the same thing. My husbands head hits the pillow and he's gone. I lay there for hours waiting to go to sleep. That's so not fair.

I've done both, actually. Just depends on how tired I am. Or how much Nyquil I can drink before I fall asleep!

you have been mendacity in mattress for a protracted time, observing your partitions and ceiling (and video show). you will desire to bypass away the room and bypass take a seat on a sofa or some thing. After approximately 5-10 minutes, lie backpedal in mattress without lights on. it will be completely different after being off the mattress, and it does not require plenty. good success!
