Wecome to Supergroup Smackdown. The top 8 have been seeded, and 16 other bands now vie for position.
The top 8 are (in no order) CSN, Blind Faith, ELP, Wings, Bad Company, Asis, Travelling Wilburys, and The Highwaymen.
Contendors for the other 16 are (also in no order) The Firm, Damn Yankees, Electronic, Pigface, RevCo, Temple of the Dog, Mad Season, Down, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, A Perfect Circle, Fantômas, Oysterhead, Velvet Revolver, Angels and Airwaves, and Pluss 44.
Write in votes may be cast in any of the first 8 rounds, but without support from others, they stand little chance of victory, so choose which round to submit them carefully.

Yes, the Traveling Wilburys will get their fair shot at the title. To be honest, they are seeded #2, based soley on the massive talent in these five gentlemen. But, one can never tell. Some upstart band may really seize this, and beat them out.

The contest will continue, with one new matchup per day. Look for the Wilburys to face thier first opponent sometime soon.

I'm going to go with Angels and Airwaves, since you never hear any +44 on the radio.

Traveling Wilburys, the greatest supergroup in the world! What's not to love with Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, George Harrison, Roy Orbison, and Jeff Lynne?
