You don't state if your question is directed at people world-wide or just people in the U.S., so I'm going with just the U.S.

As far as Caucasian women are concerned, and depending upon their location, their socioeconomic backgrounds, the lack of necessities needed to survive (example: an orphaned girl), and an abundance of other factors, anywhere from 10-12 years old to geriatric ages. It was also not uncommon for a father to 'sell' his daughter into marriage.

As far as Caucasian males were concerned, and including some of the factors listed above, some as young as 14.

Regarding Freedmen and Freedwomen (Black; non-enslaved), I would presume the same to be true. Among those enslaved, there is no real way to know as they had no choice but to do as instructed.

Because so many lived in the wilderness well beyond any census areas, no one will ever know for certain.

Regarding Native American peoples, it would have depended upon the accepted culture of the Nation and at what age a girl was deemed to be a woman and a boy to be a man.

As far as other people of other ethnic groups living in the U.S. at that time, I would presume it safe to lump them in with the same factors affecting the Caucasians, the Freedmen/Freedwomen, as well as the Native Americans.

Different cultures had different criteria for determining "womanhood" and "manhood;" and, you have to remember, this was a time where any good daughter did as her father instructed her to, regardless of ethnicity.

It would depend on the people, the area and circumstances of where they lived.

Younger than now, but also many delayed marriages. (You can still see states which allow marriage as young as 13 years.)

Husbands were often much older than the wife.
