A girl in my grade went to a wedding a few weeks ago i from what she said someone put drugs in her drink so she couldnt remember anything from the night. So today she says she found out she was pregnant. With the exception of her best friends I was the first guy she told this to. She said that i was the only guy she knew who would have a practical understanding answer. She wont tell it to her parents till later. She also said when she has her baby she wants me to be the so called "Father Figure". What should i do to help her and what is the best way to help her?

Unless you have a house , a decent source of income..
There is nothing u can do..
You are not responsible for her accident..
It looks to me you re just too young...
Tell her the truth there is nothing u can do..
You could be her friend or something but you re not wise enough..
Draw a line,, somehow I wasted my stupid life..
GEt an Education.... Move on....

First of all I don't know what your grade is and that makes a big difference. Secondly... She needs to tell her parents asap. She needs to get medical attention especially if she is saying the baby is a result of a rape. She has no idea what if any diseases she has been exposed to and therefor what the baby could have. Finally , before she assigns you as the "Father Figure" she needs to be adult about this and look at all her options. Perhaps the best choice when faced with giving birth to a child that is the product of a rape when she herself is still a child, would be adoption. This would allow her to finish her own childhood and allow her baby to grow up without the stigma of being a product of rape and a product of teen pregnancy. Adoption is not an easy choice but when you are a true parent sometimes you have to make the tough choices not the easy ones.

I would not be the so called father figure...she doesnt even know who the father is....I know that must be hard and I am not trying to sound harsh, but she needs to let her parents know..she was probably raped...they probably put some ghb or some other rape date drug...why didn't she go to her parents when she realized what happened? They could have went to the police and taken swabs from her....she needs to try and find out what happened....oh and the reason why I say don't be the father figure because she might just try to pin this pregnancy on you...good luck...

Try to talk to her about telling her parents. How old is she anyways? If she's under 18 try to convince her to tell her parents. If she doesn't, you can get in a sticky situation. Mean while try to help her as much as you can. Don't let her put your name down as the father or under Father Figure either. Who knows? You might just turn into the child'd father overnight. Whatever you do don't let abortion go to her brain. Please tell her to tell her parents.Good luck! Best wishes.

Just be her friend. Talk to her about things. Be sure she knows that you want to help her but that you are not prepared to be a "father figure". Right now she needs a friend. Encourage her to talk to her parents. If she knows who raped her tell her to contact the police, it's not too late.

Heh, considering that its actually very rare for someone to get pregnant by rape..and that fact that its still quite early...Are you sure she's really pregnant?
Some people lie and say some crazy things in order to get attention. ie: this girl I went to school with told us all she had cancer and was told she only had 7 months to live. 7 months went by and she was still alive and she said that she started chemo and everything was fine...But she showed no signs of being treated with chemo...Then a couple years later she started telling everyone she was pregnant. Then 5 months later she says she had a miscarriage...just a few minutes after someone asked her about her baby "I had a miscarriage" she never showed any signs of being preggers at all...
This girl may be vying for attention...or she may even be trying to trap you into something...Like say she isnt pregnant, but she tries to hook up with you, ya'll have sex and she purposely tries to get pregnant...I've seen that happen lifetime...*sigh*
I have no life...

Wow. First of all, be careful. You don't want to be named the father if you're NOT. If you have been intimate with her, you'd better be certain that the baby's yours. I suggest that you be her friend, and that you encourage her to speak to her parents about it. At the very least, confide in your own parents so that they know what's going on. You're a nice guy to want to help her out, but please be careful. If you're not going to marry this girl, (which I don't suggest at your age) you should be sure to let her know that you're her friend (and her baby's, if you like) but that's as far as it goes. Do what you can to help her without hurting yourself. Good luck to you!

just be there for her and encourage her to tell her parents now rather than later and reassure her that you'll be there when she gives them the story. And make sure she tells them the wedding part first!!!

you need to be by her side and help her out in every little detail you can. you should be honoured and proud.
someone needs to congradulate and reward her with a friend's love and care, so why not make the possitive choice and have that person be you?
